Yes! The Starter plan is completely free. You get a marketplace profile, up to 3 active clients, basic scheduling, and community access. Paid plans unlock AI tools, unlimited clients, and advanced features.
What kind of trainers is PD World for?
Any independent professional development practitioner — leadership coaches, DEI facilitators, communication trainers, organizational psychologists, change management consultants, and more.
How do I get visible to organizations?
Complete your profile with a headline, bio, specialties, rates, and availability. The more complete your profile, the higher you'll rank in search results. See full guide →

How do proposals work?
When an organization sends you a booking request, you can create a professional proposal with scope, objectives, deliverables, and pricing. Send it to the org, and they can accept or decline. See full guide →
What is the Opportunities marketplace?
Organizations can post open training requests to the marketplace. As a trainer, go to Opportunities in your sidebar to browse these requests and submit proposals. When an org accepts your proposal, it becomes an engagement. See full guide →
Can I track attendance and evaluations?
Yes! For each session in an engagement, you can track attendance with one click. Create Kirkpatrick Level 1-2 evaluations, share the link with participants, and view results with rating distributions. See full guide →
What is a Storefront?
A Storefront is your own branded public page at pdworld.com/t/your-name. Customize your banner, logo, colors, and choose which content to show — courses, services, reviews, and more. Enable lead capture to collect visitor inquiries. See full guide →
Can I set up follow-up emails?
Yes! Create follow-up sequences that automatically send emails to clients at scheduled intervals after an engagement — 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or custom delays. See full guide →
How do I find the right trainer?
Use the search and filters on the trainers page — filter by specialty, format, and sort by rating, price, or experience. You can also compare trainers side by side. See full guide →
Can I message a trainer before booking?
Yes! Click 'Send Message' on any trainer's profile to start a conversation. Discuss your needs before committing to a booking.
How do I manage my team's access?
Go to Team in your dashboard to invite team members with different roles (admin, manager, member). Team members can view engagements and help manage training requests. See full guide →
Can I post an open training request?
Yes! Go to New Request in your dashboard without selecting a specific trainer. Your request will be posted to the Opportunities marketplace where qualified trainers can find it and submit proposals. You can compare proposals and choose the best fit. See full guide →
Can I rebook a trainer I've worked with?
Yes! The Rebook page shows all trainers you've previously worked with, making it easy to book them again with one click. See full guide →
How do I add learners to my organization?
Go to Learners in your dashboard to invite by email, bulk-invite via CSV, or generate shareable invite codes that learners use to self-join. See full guide →
Can I set up SSO for my team?
Yes! Enterprise organizations can configure SAML 2.0 single sign-on so team members authenticate through your corporate identity provider. See full guide →
What's included in each plan?
Check our pricing page for full details. Starter is free forever. Professional ($99/mo) adds AI tools, unlimited clients, and proposals. Business ($249/mo) adds white-label portals and priority placement.
Can I change plans?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What are marketplace commissions?
When a booking is facilitated through PD World, we take a small commission (8-15% depending on your plan). Direct bookings outside the platform have no commission.
How do I create a course?
Go to Courses in your trainer dashboard, click 'New Course', set up the basics (title, description, category), then add modules and lessons in the course editor. You can add text, video, file, embed, and quiz lessons. See full guide →
What types of quizzes can I create?
PD World supports multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, and matching questions. Set passing scores, max attempts, and optional time limits. Quizzes auto-grade and track scores.
Can learners take courses at their own pace?
Yes! Once enrolled, learners progress through modules and lessons at their own speed. Progress is tracked per-lesson with completion percentages. Courses can optionally require sequential completion. See full guide →
What are Learning Paths?
Learning Paths let you sequence multiple courses into a curriculum with prerequisites. Learners complete courses in order and earn badges or certificates upon finishing the full path. See full guide →
Can I export courses as SCORM?
Yes, Business plan users can export any course as a SCORM 1.2 package. This lets your clients load your courses into their corporate LMS. You can also import existing SCORM packages.
How do I find a mentor?
Go to Dashboard → Mentoring from your learner sidebar, or visit the public Mentors page. Browse available mentors, filter by specialty, and send a request. See full guide →
Who can be a mentor on PD World?
Any approved trainer on the platform can serve as a mentor. There is no separate mentor application — all trainers are automatically available for mentoring requests.
Is mentoring free?
Mentoring requires a Professional plan ($49/month) or higher. This applies to both trainers managing mentees and learners requesting mentors. See full guide →
How do I end a mentoring relationship?
You can pause or complete a mentoring relationship at any time. Go to Dashboard → Mentoring (learners) or Dashboard → Mentees (trainers) and use the status controls on the relationship card.
Can I have multiple mentors?
Yes! You can request multiple trainers as mentors. Each is an independent relationship with its own goals and meeting schedule.
How do mentoring sessions work?
Mentoring sessions are arranged between you and your mentor (via video call, in-person, or chat). After each session, your mentor logs it with notes and duration for tracking.
